It all started with a paint your own pottery joint on the upper east side of Manhattan. I moved to New York September 10th 2001 to chase a girl (who would become my wife). The world changed the following day and I found myself aimlessly wandering my new city in a fog. After a couple weeks of job hunting with out luck I stumbled upon a sign in a door at paint your own pottery place a couple blocks from our apartment. "Hiring- Come Inside" it said. After a brief conversation with the manager I was hired and was set to start the next day. The following afternoon I prepared to start my new life in the pottery business I excitedly opened the door to the store ready to begin my first day. What happened next would alter my career and life in ways I never would have suspected. A boy no more than 6 or 7 walked directly up to me with a squirt bottle filled with red paint and without saying a word sprayed me up and down. I had paint in my ear canal, hair, everywhere. I didn't say a word and took off my apron and walked back out the door. My days as a potter were over. But that same afternoon I got a phone call from friend and as it turned out real mentor in the business Karim Karmi who was running the video department at Epic. He asked if i wanted a job answering his phone. I said yes and as they say...the rest is history.
